# Conversations and replies

> Monitor sent outreach, check replies, draft responses, and understand project activity.

Every sent email remains attached to its project. Open the Dashboard, choose a project, and use the email list to search or filter conversations.

## Project overview

The project shows sent and replied totals, reply rate, meetings, items that need attention, upcoming meetings, and recent conversation activity. Delivery and meeting changes can arrive after the initial send.

Select **Check for replies** when you want the latest conversation status. Scouty also updates the conversation when new activity becomes available.

## Read a conversation

Open an email to see:

* the opening email and its delivery status;
* incoming replies in time order;
* approved automatic follow-ups that were sent;
* scheduling activity and meeting status;
* the current follow-up state and stop reason.

A reply labeled as out-of-office still counts as a reply for automatic follow-up safety and stops that sequence.

## Reply from Scouty

Scouty can draft a reply from the latest conversation context. The generated reply remains in the editor for your review.

1. Open the conversation.
2. Select the available AI draft action.
3. Review and edit the reply.
4. Press **Send** only when the content is ready.

Scouty does not automatically send these conversation replies. Closing the panel during the current page visit preserves an unsent reply for that conversation, but you should send or copy important work before leaving the page.

## When a conversation needs attention

Use **Needs you** when Scouty could not safely complete an action. Examples include a proposed time that needs review, a drafted scheduling response, or an uncertain send result.

If a prospect is not interested, asks you to stop, bounces, or is already handled, stop further outreach and follow the status shown in the conversation. A stop request must always be honored.
