# Limits and troubleshooting

> Understand usage limits, saved results, progress recovery, and common error states.

Scouty limits some searches, AI actions, and email activity to keep the service reliable. The allowance can vary, so use the remaining limit shown in the app as the current value.

## Search limits

Actions such as **Check matches**, finding companies, finding decision makers, and revealing work email can use your search allowance.

If Scouty says that today's search limit was reached, wait for the reset before starting another search. You can continue reviewing results that are already saved.

The search day resets at **00:00 UTC**. Convert that time to your location. For example, it resets at 07:00 in Vietnam because Vietnam is UTC+7. Remember that the local reset time can change in countries that use daylight saving time.

## Saved results

Scouty saves your progress and company results automatically. You can reload the page or return later to continue where you left off.

* **Show more companies** adds the next available group, up to three groups per campaign.
* The result date tells you when the company information was found.
* After changing targeting, review the match count and results again.
* To find a different set of companies, create or select a campaign with different targeting.

## Common problems

### “You've reached today's search limit”

Wait until 00:00 UTC, then retry. Continue reviewing saved results. Repeatedly selecting **Check matches** does not bypass the limit.

### Company research fails

Check the website spelling and make sure the public website opens. Retry the step. Use the business form when no public website exists. A failed attempt does not use the anonymous company trial.

### Market must be selected

Select **Not quite right? Edit the details**, choose a specific market or **Global**, and save. Scouty needs this information before it can find relevant competitors.

### A later step disappeared after editing

Changes to the company profile, campaign, or targeting can clear later results that no longer match. Continue from the step you changed. Sent email and saved project history remain available.

### Work email cannot be revealed or verified

Choose another decision maker. Scouty does not send to an unverified address.

### Email sending is not confirmed

Select **Check now** and wait for the status to update. Do not send the same email again while Scouty is checking it.

### Replies are not current

Open the project and select **Check for replies**. If the check fails, wait and retry. Do not send another opening email to refresh the conversation.

### Google Calendar connection failed or was canceled

Select **Connect Google Calendar** again from the project. Use **Set up later** when you need to continue without Calendar. See [Google Calendar and meetings](/meetings/google-calendar#recover-from-connection-problems).

### Custom domain remains pending

Compare every DNS **Type**, **Name**, **Value**, **Proxy status**, and **Priority** with the table. Wait for the changes to appear, then select **Check connection**. Ask the person who manages your domain for help if needed. See [Custom domain](/settings/custom-domain#wait-for-dns-propagation).

## Continue where you left off

Reload the current page first. Scouty restores completed work when it is available. Use the stepper to review an earlier step and **Next step: N** to move forward without repeating completed work.

If you changed the account, company, campaign, or input while an action was running, run the action again for the item currently shown.

## Information to collect for support

Use the support channel provided with your Scouty account. Include:

* the page and project name;
* the action and button you used;
* the approximate time and your time zone;
* the visible error text and status;
* whether retrying or reloading changed the result;
* a screenshot with personal information hidden.

Never share passwords, access keys, account credentials, or private sign-in links.
